A street-facing second floor in a building in the Colonia de El Viso, with a concierge and a lift, and a covered terrace level with the crowns of the plane trees along the street. It is the first thing you see from the living room and what sets the character of the home: a small bistro table, two folding chairs, a plant and the leaves on the other side of the railing.
Inside, mouldings on walls painted a warm beige, oak floors, brass wall lights and linen furnishings: a white sofa with washable covers, a round reclaimed-wood dining table with slipcovered chairs and a travertine coffee table.
The bedroom, with a grey upholstered headboard, white bed linen and two wooden bedside tables with ceramic lamps, has a window onto the street and a ceiling fan. Next to it, a separate walk-in wardrobe with shelves, rails and drawers that takes care of the storage for the whole home in a single room.
The Colonia de El Viso is a neighbourhood of low houses and tree-lined streets between the Castellana and María de Molina. From this terrace you see the plane trees along the street and hear very little. Five minutes’ walk away, República Argentina metro station and the buses on the Castellana; ten minutes, the Bernabéu and the offices of Azca.
